Sophie Everard is a multi-faceted athlete, author and business woman passionate about spreading a positive message of empowerment and being a modern female-entrepreneur and athlete. A professional free-surfer and bonafide lover of all that is adventure and the outdoors, Sophie is a qualified surf coach and personal trainer, boxing coach that has taught in London’s fitness hot spots including Another Space & Soho House, and has also lived in the Alps for many winters, chasing her love of snowboarding and the outdoors. She can often by found with a board on her feet and a backpack, hunting adventure with her unique energy and positive “stoke” for life!


As a sports model Sophie has shot with diverse brands including Chanel, Roxy, Surf Dome, Intel, Charli Cohen and more, and as an influencer worked with brands including Sweaty Betty, Grazia, Avon, Women’s Health, Elle, KAYAK Travel, Keen and Naked Juices.  


A born-love of travel stemming from her background living in Greece, Portugal, Costa Rica, Bali, France and more (Sophie speaks 3 languages) sees Sophie chasing adventure around the world, free-diving in the beautiful waters of Indonesia and the Caribbean and Australia, wake-boarding in the stunning lakes of Europe, and loving a life on two wheels, mountain biking in the French Alps and endurance cycling from London-Paris. Sophie is the founder of the Mad To Live Retreats, global surf & fitness retreats with a nucleus of empowering women through surf and adventure, voted one of the best surf retreats in the world for women by The Guardian and attended by Olympic Champions. With a background in journalism Sophie has freelanced for many leading titles including i-D and SurfGirl, is the author of a published book on snowboarding, and founded the Mad To Live Blog, a much loved platform for all that is lifestyle, fitness and travel, and cutting-edge journalism. Sophie has fronted stimulating panel discussions for brands including Elle and Ivy Park alongside esteemed women including Lorraine Candy, former Editor of Elle and current Editor in Chief of Style Magazine.
